From Huffington Post Weddings on 5/18: This is probably the best piece of advice regarding a wedding dress that I’ve read yet.
Charlotte Peters: How To Choose A Wedding Dress You Wont Regret.
Brides, there’s so much more to your dress than just the silhouette. Rethink your oversized bows or steampunk eggbeaters just ONE extra time just to make sure it’s absolutely something you won’t regret in 20 years. The wedding is just the first day of the rest of your life…. do you really want it start off looking like this?
So true. With SO many options out there it is easy to get something that in just a few years you could look back on and say “why did I get that??” I know when I was shopping for my dress there was one I liked, big ballgown with lots of sparkle. Beautiful dress but I am WAY too tiny to pull it off, I could barely walk around in it. So had to say no. Ended up with a more classic look that has lace details, but not ALL lace. Something that (I hope!) will still have a semi-classic look in a few years.
